"Why So Long To Put On?"

I didn't so much as make this for Mindy Kaling, as sweat-ily and nervously hand it to her during a book signing. She was very kind. When @Hanecdote inspired me to pick up stitching again (after a 20-year hiatus), this is the first thing I made!

"Misunderstood"  "Misunderstood" is a "Jembroidery" piece I made for a CInefamily art show and film screening where we all got to meet Christy Marx, the badass creator of Jem! It is based off an animation still from the original cartoon. I need to find the artist so I can credit.  Photo: Marc Campos

Chili & Brillo I was lucky enough to get to stitch little portraits of my friend Gaby's (@hellogabyandco) puppies Chili and Brillo as part of a holiday gift exchange! They are based on Gaby's beyond charming drawings. She is an extremely awesome illustrator!!!

Jembroidery Workshop at Junior High

Junior High is an amazing grassroots artspace Los Angeles founded by Faye Orelove. I was so proud to teach a workshop there on their opening day. Today, it's a place for music, art, friendship, acceptance, safe space, and so much more.
